Better Than I Deserve

My mother sent me this prayer from her church prayer chain:

"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…"
Hebrews 1:3 (ESV)

PRAYER STARTER
Dear Royal Adoptive Daddy, we must accept our worthiness first before we can truly trust You.  I know that it will be a simple beautiful acceptance when I get past myself.  Father, I know that on my own I am not worthy at your throne, but Your precious Son changed all that… Now help me to lift up my head and climb up into Your Holy Majestic lap.

I find it so easy to be critical of myself, always thinking of things I shoulda, coulda, woulda done differently in this situation or that. Unless I come back to Jesus and remember who HE says I am (loved, redeemed, completely forgiven and without fault), I can find myself being critical of others because I'm feeling so insecure myself.

But God doesn't treat us as we deserve. :) He loves and adores us just as we are! Praise God!

"My soul, praise the LORD,
and all that is within me, praise
His holy name.
My soul, praise the LORD,
and do not forget all His benefits.

"He forgives all your sin;
He heals all your diseases.
He redeems your life from the Pit;
He crowns you with faithful love
and compassion.
He satisfies you with goodness;
your youth is renewed like the eagle.

"The LORD executes acts
of righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He revealed His ways to Moses,
His deeds to the people of Israel.
The LORD is compassionate
and gracious,
slow to anger and full of faithful love.
He will not always accuse [us]
or be angry forever.
He has not dealt with us as
our sins deserve
or repaid us according to our offenses.

"For as high as the heavens are above
the earth,
so great is His faithful love
toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed
our transgressions from us."
